Kinei "Kin" Srosc
Kin has learned much and grown quite a bit in the last four years. Having risen through the ranks of his class, Kin is now one of the top students in his year, despite that, he still can't seem to match up to Yleme. Even though he is no longer the subject of ridicule of his class, Kin harbors a deep anger toward his other classmates and has developed what many would consider a prickly personality that pushes away anybody that he doesn't want to get close to. Despite that, he knows the value of true friendship and if you manage to befriend him, he'll stand by you for life. Kin's relationship with Yleme has only grown since they became a couple, now living with her in a two bedroom apartment. Their relationship has become less playful and more supportive, but let's hope that will be enough to see them through the darkness on its way.

Yleme Ambec
Where Kin has grown more hostile in some ways, Yleme has become more emotional and reflective. No longer rough housing with Kin, she has become more of an emotional support to keep him grounded. A lot of her change could be motivated by Sakazu partially possessing her, though she hasn't shown any symptoms in the past four years, she still occasionally has nightmares that make her scared of losing Kin. She has withdrawn slightly and seems a little more self conscious, though she displays aptitude for being a squad leader. Kin and Yleme balance out each other in more ways than one. Each one supports the other, and while Yleme is content with letting Kin make most of the decisions, she isn't afraid to speak up or take charge when she needs to.

Sakazu: Pride Piece
Once a beautiful being with a similar level of power to Terra and Aurora, Sakazu has since rejected his place and become nothing more than a demon that wishes to destroy all that his father created. Sakazu's main body is sealed on a different plain entirely, so he created several branch bodies to act in the various worlds. This is once such body. As the name suggests, the pride piece of Sakazu is filled with pride and ego. He uses this world for production of mages as foot soldiers in his personal army. Having possessed the body of a young boy, Sakazu was since realized the vessel he's occupied is decaying. Currently, he has his sights set on possessing Yleme, and has already partially succeeded. Sakazu is intelligent, proud and looks down on all his father's creations. He knows his plight is futile, but has resolved to see it through to the end.

Lerac
Lerac takes Kin's impulsive tendencies and dials them up to eleven. A naive girl with a big heart and a short, wet fuse, there is more to Lerac than a wild look and pointy ears. Lerac started out life as a dog (The novel calls her a Terrainian shepherd, but it's a German shepherd), but she was mutated into a human form through magical experiments. Mutated along with twenty other dogs, Lerac managed to escape from that facility with them. She returned to the place she called home, only for her parents to reject her, so she then set off to build a life for herself and her new pack in the forest lands. There they stayed until Kin and Yleme fell into their lives. Lerac is wild, energetic and loving. She has an excellent sense of character and is very loyal to those she considers friends. Her attraction to Kin often puts her at odds with Yleme but underneath everything is a young woman who wants to find her partner in life and have a family of her own to make up for her father's rejection of her.

Lamic Alten
Cold, quiet and analytical, Lamic is often considered one of the best in his field. The Son of an average man and a spellcaster woman, Lamic had a happy childhood and used to be full of expression. All that changed when The Brotherhood of Wizardry ambushed him and several other students during his academy days. Many of his classmates died, and blaming himself, Lamic was never the same again. Lamic is very intelligent and often excels at everything he does. He plays well on a team and is quick to point out how he feels. However, he puts on a cold facade and bottles up his emotions to keep his mind clear and focused. He tolerates the emotions of others, but only expresses his own when he can't contain them anymore. He cares deeply for Sha, but doesn't know how to express that, often just being rude or distant to others.

Astiel Staw
In the past four years, Astiel gained a few things, but lost so much more. She gained a surrogate younger sister she named "Char," but when she finally attempted to assassinate Tomono, it cost her dearly. Her desperation reaching its peak, Astiel has now placed all her hope in the legend of The Crystal Controller: a legendary hero that would go on to save multiple worlds... at least according to the legend that Kalin spread all those years ago. Astiel hopes to become The Crystal Controller to finally have the power to defeat Tomono and not only free herself, but all the spellcasters of the world. Astiel has become short tempered and desperate, often willing to attack first then ask questions later. Her new injuries have left her mentally scarred, though if anything, she has become more powerful, ruthless and skilled in combat.

Charlotte "Char" Weber
Another unique case on Terraina, Char hails from another world entirely. Like Astiel, she has also faced suffering and longs for retribution. Growing up in a semi-post-apocalyptic world, Char found herself sold into the slave trade where she was ultimately bought and tormented night and day. One day, she managed to escape and found somebody who showed her kindness, but ultimately felt betrayed by that person when he didn't show any romantic interest in her. She fled and fell into a portal that transported her to Terraina. Once there, she met Astiel, who brought her into The Brotherhood of Wizardry and made her the second in command. Due to her experience, Char hates all men and is something of a sexist. She seems calm and sly, but that facade hides a screaming little girl who just longs for kindness. Char is attached to Astiel, and seems to recognize Kin from somewhere. On top of everything else, Char loves experimenting with magic. She was the person who mutated Lerac into a human and even mutated Homatak into a psychotic vamipire.

Lien Arton
An absolute legend in the field, Lien has taken the role of Kin and Yleme's field instructor during the latter half of their training. A war hero and close friend to Supreme Commander Semaj Lisson, Lien's reputation precedes him. Lien started out as the current Omega Supreme Commander Lisson's field student and was quickly thrust into The Second Brotherhood War. He learned fast and though he still carries scars from his fights, he refuses to let them influence his life. He still maintains his friendship with Semaj but refuses to overstep his bounds when on duty. Since Semaj took in Kin, Lien has become something of an uncle to him, and the two love to hang out and talk about anime among other things. Lien is professional to a fault, caring and strict. He calls things as he sees them and loves to help his students learn and grow. Watching Kin grow into the young man he's become has been one of the greatest joys of his life, but deep down, Lien is gripped by fear for the fate of his wife and son.

Jenla Salip
The starry-eyed little sister of the group, Jenla has a mountain of potential buried under a snowy peak of inexperience. Born in The Forest Lands, Jenla's world was turned upside down at the tender age of six when she was rescued from a brotherhood attack by the then in training Kin. Enamored by Kin from that day forward, Jenla would often follow him around and more recently has attempted to steal him from Yleme. She even snuck away from the academy to join him in the field on his first mission. Jenla is often rude to others, energetic and eager to prove herself. She looks up to the others, Kin and Lerac especially, and though her focus is long range combat, Jenla is proving she can be part of the team.

Grek Ristoff
Hailing from Oria, Grek experienced heartbreak and struggle from a young age. Chosen by Sakazu to be a general, made a plaything by Sakazu's favorite general, Liadnel, Grek rarely experienced happiness in his home. Finding his way to Terraina, Grek hoped to find a better life. For a time, he lived in happiness with an elderly couple who took him in, but that soon past. Grek, being a spellcaster, was once again forced on the run when a gang of pro anti-mage people mugged the poor couple that took him in and killed them. Grek wandered around the desert region until he met Lamic, who soon recruited him as a spy to infiltrate The Brotherhood of Wizardry. Grek agreed, and soon found himself as a Brotherhood soldier while secretly passing information to Lamic. Grek comes off a timid and depressed but is a very driven individual. He is determined to dismantle The Brotherhood of Wizardry and bring peace and happiness to spellcasters the world over. He struck a close friendship with Lerac, which may or may not lead to a romance, and is on good terms with most of Kin's squad, but Kin himself has yet to accept him. Despite that, Grek is a talented musician and loves to see the smiles of people around him.

Anuraka Kurie
A former farmer living a life of peace with her parents and younger sister, Anuraka is a young woman that loathes her position in the world. Forced from her home by Anti-Mages and losing all her loved ones, she feels that there is no other place for her than The Brotherhood of Wizardry. Though deep down a kind individual, Anuraka has constructed a wall of anger and hatred between herself and the rest of the world to keep herself from getting hurt. Only Grek has seen the kind person she can be and even then, he only sees it briefly. Anuraka can be hotheaded and often openly clashes with Astiel. She schemes to end both The Anti-Mages and The Brotherhood of Wizardry for their crimes against the spellcasters and normal civilians respectively. The only thing that gives her a shred of happiness is the hope of living a life of peace once more, only this time with Grek.

Sha Kaber
A smart mouth medic that doesn't make house calls, Sha is a proud individual who strives to be the best. Another adopted child, similar to Kin, Sha had no idea of the conflict between The Anti-Mages and The Brotherhood of Wizardry. That was until The Brotherhood found her immunity to magic. In a bid to break her, a single spellcaster took her and her parents hostage, threw Sha in a cage and used a lightning spell to kill her parents. Sha was rescued by Mochitl, the Vice Commander of The Omega Anti-Mages, who took her in and raised her. Sha has yet to fully open up to her surrogate mother. Meeting Kin and Yleme when they were gearing up for graduation, and along with Lamic, the four became a squad intended to take the exams together. Sha comes off as a rude smart mouth with a worse attitude than Kin, but she is a kind and caring individual. She places a lot of pride in her medical prowess and is often threatened by other healers, magical or otherwise. She places a lot of her self worth into her practice. She also likes Lamic, and has thrown several hints his way, but he usually misses them.

Homatak Shakkun
A former higher up in The Brotherhood, Homatak lost everything, including his sanity when he volunteered to be one of Char's experiments. That experiment increased his speed, destroyed his ability to feel pain, cost most of his cognitive abilities and made blood his only source of food. Once an honorable soldier close to Astiel, Homatak is now nothing more than a blood sucking lunatic. Often acting as nothing more than a mindless monster, Homatak wants nothing more than to feast on the blood of anyone unfortunate enough to be close by, though he remains blindly loyal to Astiel and Char.

Myths of Mage
Monsters that are rarely seen, mages are flaming giants literally made of magical energy. They look similar to gargoyles and can stand up to 200 feet in height. Not only do they have access to every magic spell and buff on the list, the power they wield is far beyond what even the strongest spellcaster if capable of. The few times Mages actually did appear usually resulted in the destruction of everything around and the death of all the inhabitants within. Though most have vanished, the Sovereign Mage, the father of all mages, is known to reside on the highest peak of Oria and routinely grants magic to those who encounter it. Magic turns spellcasters into mages, which can in turn, create more spellcasters. The only way to stop this metamorphosis is for an Anti-Mage to remove the power from the spellcaster.

001B Liame
Once an android designed to hunt down and kill spellcasters during The Second Brotherhood War, Liame has been captured, reprogrammed and embued with magic in his service to The Brotherhood. Like Homatak, Liame is another monster The Brotherhood employs to destroy Anti-Mages. However, while Homatak uses blind aggression and chaos to his advantage, Liame is an agent of order and focus. Once he sets his sights on something, nothing will stand in his way. Now an agent of destruction, Anti-Mages live in fear of him. Every mission he has been deployed on have been a success and his strength and speed, as well as his own modifications to his body make him a fierce opponent.

Tomono Jin
A self-proclaimed devil worshiper, Tomono is one of the most powerful men on Terraina. One of Sakazu's generals, Tomono is a key player in The Brotherhood of Wizardry in the role it has been assigned. Though over two hundred years old, Tomono is very active and dangerous. Most don't think he still lives after his defeat in Genesis City, but those people are wrong. He ordered the raid on Kin's home village, he captured Astiel and trained her to be his figurehead, and he spearheads operations to create more monstrous mages for Sakazu's army. Nobody has been able to defeat him in a one-on-one fight and some people claim his power even rivals The Crystal Controller's. Tomono is wise, proud and delights in putting others down. Having sworn his life to Sakazu, he cares little for others, only for the advancement of his master's schemes. What he doesn't realize is the choices he's made in his life could cost him everything.
